California School Garden Network
The California School Garden Network is the joint effort of state agencies, private companies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations, all dedicated to facilitating the connection between educators and resource organizations in order to create and maintain gardens in every willing school in California.

GrowingGreat
GrowingGreat is a nonprofit nutrition organization dedicated to inspiring children and adults to adopt healthy eating habits. Since 1999, GrowingGreat has provided comprehensive nutrition lessons, farm-to-school food service programs and school gardens to over 20,000 elementary school students and their families.

KidsGardening.org
This website, run by the National Gardening Association, is a comprehensive guide to how starting a school garden. It includes everything from information on grants to lesson-plan suggestions.

Schoolyard Habitats
The National Wildlife Federation’s school garden page has a wealth of multimedia materials about the importance and procedure of incorporating horticulture into childhood education.

School Gardening Wizard
An in-depth online guide for grades K-8, School Gardening Wizard is designed to help schools start a garden or expand an existing program. The website includes helpful advice on creating support for your program, teaching guides and practical gardening advice.

Urban Harvest
A nonprofit group in the greater Houston area, Urban Harvest uses community and school gardens to teach nutrition and respect for the environment, provide fresh locally grown food, improve diet and health, and encourage responsible land use.

This website, from the Aggie Horticulture Network, includes a step-by-step guide for creating a school garden and provides ideas and curricula for gardening lessons.

The Edible Schoolyard
The Edible Schoolyard is a nonprofit program located on the campus of Martin Luther King Junior Middle School in Berkeley, California. The school describes its own success story and has a detailed how-to page as well.
